François Besson

  • June 1944: Abandonment of repatriation after the invasion of Normandy
  • Until end of the war: Worked at a branch of Urban Hospital on Graefestraße in Kreuzberg, cared for West Europeans suffering from tuberculosis, married Odette Peillon
  • July 1945: Return to Paris
  • October 2011: Video interview at a nursing home in Nizza
  • François Besson died three weeks later.
