Günther Quandt’s Empire
Günther Quandt, industrialist and first husband of Magda Goebbels, 1941. He owned many arms factories that employed forced labourers.
Pertrix reported bomb damages at its battery factory in Schöneweide, 1944. Pertrix and VARTA were part of Quandt’s AFA company.

The Belgian Simone Degueldre worked at Pertrix as a concentration camp prisoner in 1944.
The Deutsche Waffen- und Munitionsfabrik (DWM) was also owned by Quandt. Its factory in Reinickendorf is now home to Berlin Regional Archives.
