František Vendiš
- 1923: Born in Czechoslovakia.
- Apprenticeship as an electrician
- 1942: Deployed to forced labour at the Siemens-Schuckertwerke
- Housed in the Arbeiterstadt “Große Halle”, later in the Siemens camp in Haselhorst
- Comparatively good working conditions as a trained electrician
- November 1943: Escaped for home after a severe bomb attack
- Arrested and sent to labour re-education camp Mährisch Ostrau-Witkowitz in the Protectorate of Bohemia and Moravia
- End of 1943: Deported again to Berlin for forced labour at Siemens, housed in Staaken
- Beginning of 1945: Attempted to flee again, repeated imprisonment
- Liberation and return to Czechoslovakia, worked as an electrician
- 1996: Testimony for the Berliner Geschichtswerkstatt
- 1997: Visited Berlin
